June 23rd, 2008 Photoshop and drawingtablet Here's my picture for the ShinXChange of June/July. This is Oekah, a character belonging to WhiteWeasel. Oekah is something of a cross between a wolf, a dingo and an African wild dog. I don't really know how that works, but it doesn't really matter. She's one cute little puppy. I may have gone a little overboard on this picture, but then I nearly always go overboard on my art trades, so why break with tradition, eh? The reason why I drew this doggie so often is because I just couldn't decide on a pose. We have a young Golden Retriever ourselves, so I get plenty of inspiration from her. In the end I just drew all the poses I could come up with and joined them together in this collage thingie. Sure, while I was drawing and coloring this thing, I did get a few of my 'what-the-heck-am-I-doing-fibes', but in the end it was all worth it... I think I may use this as my desktop for a while.
