April 28th, 2009 Photoshop and drawingtablet Entry for: Pokémon Super Contests Cute category, Round 1 (dress up) Sub theme: Spring fun Entrant: Nami, the Rattata (and her trainer Matt) Here's my first entry for the Pokémon Super Contests, held on dA. It's the cute category, so I entered Nami. Seemed like the most obvious choice. Heh. :) Anyway, the sub theme is 'Spring fun'. I think most people will enter happy, cheerful pictures of their Pokémon frolicking in fields of pretty flowers in various neon-colors, so I decided to try something else. You know spring isn't just about the sun shining, the flowers blooming and birds chirping, right? Spring is also all about rain. At least it is in most parts of the world. So here's Nami, sporting her rain gear, because she honestly doesn't care what the weather is like. She'll have fun either way. ^__^ By the way, I doubt that my entries for the second and third rounds will be quite as elaborate as this one (the background wasn't exactly easy to make). Just so you know.
