I made my first deadline! So now it's on to the next deadline - yes, I have more than one. But this should be a little easier. It's a lecture, and those aren't too difficult. Usually.

But enough about that. I finally have some pictures of our new cat! You may remember I said something about that cat in the update of 20 August, 2011. My sister took these pictures, because I was procrastinating like a pro busy with other things. So here they are:

Just a quick update.

One of the things that has been keeping me so busy lately, is a deadline for my dissertation. That deadline is next Monday. It's going to be tight, but I think I'm going to make it. And after that, hopefully things will become more relaxed again.

Sorry I keep making these uninformative "there's a new comic up" posts. I think, realistically, nobody even checks the frontpage any more. And I don't really blame you. It's not like I have a lot to say here, these days.

Here's the thing. Unfortunately work is chewing me out pretty good at the moment. There are some big deadlines coming up, and I find myself unable to also spend a lot of time on my hobbies. Honestly, SoL is the only art-related thing I can manage each week.

Which brings us to issue number two, which is that I seem to have stumbled upon an art block. Actually, I probably did that almost a year ago, and I'm still just sort of sprawled out on the floor, cradling my head and going "ow". The odd thing is that I can still bring myself to draw, and I can even sometimes like what I made. But I've become very slow. I'm just glad it kicked in after I finished most of the art I owed everybody. By the way, I am still working on the remainder of what I promised to make, so I hope you guys can bear with me for just a bit longer.

So all of this caused, what I consider, a rather unacceptable level on inactivity. I mean, sure, the comic still updates, but I used to do more. Know what I mean? Also, I've been very poor at handling any messages via e-mail or dA. Again.

I'm so sorry about that. But now you know why that is. Hopefully you guys don't mind waiting until things get a little less crazy for me. Cheers, and have a nice weekend.
