I'm sorry about updating so late. I'm normally a little faster than this, but I almost totally forgot to update at all! Heh...
I just got Pokémon Diamond (and a DS) the day before yesterday, and I'm sure you'll all agree that it's addictive. Don't worry, I still manage to peel myself away from my DS from time to time, to draw. SoL probably won't suffer for it, but erm... My renovations to the site might take a little longer to complete. I think I might upload the changes in stages. That way at least I can already show a few changes, while I finish the rest.

Oh, and before I forget. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW! ^_^

I finally managed to finish my masterthesis. I finished it on Wednesday. So, yeah... I'm happy! Now normally I'd treat you to a double SoL-update to celebrate, but... I'm exhausted and I don't feel like sacrificing my buffer today. Heheheh, sorry...
But next Thursday, August 30th, will be Matthew's birthday. I'll do an extra SoL-update then. An extra LONG update.

As you may have noticed, I've added an affiliates section to the menu. I wanted to wait with this untill I renovated my site, because then I could have easily put the affiliates on every single page. But then the people I'm affiliating with, already started putting up their links to me and I felt rather guilty about not having my affiliates up yet. So I've decided to make a compromise. For now I have the affiliates up on the main page and the page which shows the most current SoL. Those are the most popular pages anyway. I've also put the Chatbox on the SoL page, because I know some people never go to the main page at all.
Once I'm done with the site (and my masterthesis) I promise the affiliates will be up on every page. I might also put the Chatbox on every page, but I still have to think about that. It sometimes seems a little slow to load, and I can imagine people would get annoyed by it if they were trying to read the comic's archives. What do you people think I should do?

Schoolwise things are really starting to get exciting for me now. I have to finish my masterthesis by August 20th or else I might not get my diploma in time. So naturally I'm having PANIC ATTACKS!!! Well, not really, but things are going to be a little... uhm... I believe 'thight' is the right word.
I'm actually still not sure how things got to be the way they are. I mean, I wouldn't blame you for thinking I must have been a lazy bum all year, but in fact... I wasn't lazy at all! I worked every single weekday and Saturday from nine to five. I think the real problem is that I underestamated the amount of research I had to do for this thesis. I won't bother you with the details, but let's just say I could probably have used twice the amount of time that was set for this thesis.

At any rate, it will all be over somewhere next week, so please root for me. Now on to Blue Uncia business. As you all probably know by now, I'm also trying to redo the site. One of the mayor internal changes I'm working on are the includes. Anyone who knows anything about html will tell you that you can't properly run a large site without including a few things. I should probably have put includes in Blue Uncia a loooong time ago, but I guess I was just being a stubborn idiot. Now I have to do it anyway. This won't have too many consequences for most visitors, but it will have consequences for everyone who is linking to me. You see, I'm going to have to change the extentions to all my pages from .html to .shtml. This will happen to all the pages, except for the main page: the one you are on right now. If you are linking to any other page on Blue Uncia (for instance the page that displays the current SoL), your link will die as soon as I put the changes into effect. You can avoid this problem by linking to www.blue-uncia.nl. This will never ever go wrong. I will contact those of you, of who I know that they're linking to me, about this. However, I don't know everyone of you, so I hope this message will be enough to alert you. I will repeat it when I put the changes into effect.
Finally I'd like to say one more thing, but I think I can say it best with a badly drawn gag.
