Title: Nothing to report today

I don't really have anything to say today. I haven't done anything to the website this week and I've just updated Stuff of Legend. And actually, that's just about it!
Enjoy the comic!

Title: Finally summer!

I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in Holland we had a pretty hot week. Looks like summer is coming! If that doesn't put a smile on your face, nothing will.
Anyway, as you may already have noticed, I did some work on the site this week. Or rather I finally finished and uploaded it. First of all I've added some more links to the Links page and I finally sat down to 'fix' the code-problems I had with the Link to Blue Uncia page. Well, 'fixed' isn't exactly the right word. I actually got rid of the whole codesystem all together. At first it seemed like a good idea to have the right code for every button and banner pop up in a .txt-file as soon as you clicked on the banner you liked. However, it wasn't working properly. You didn't get the codes at all if you clicked anything. Instead the server seemed to translate the code and display the fully functional button in the .txt-file. Cute, but not what I wanted... When I started to think about how I could fix this, I also started to wonder if it was really all that usefull to have such a codesystem. First of all, if you own a website, chances are you already know a fair bit about html. At the very least you're likely to know how to insert something as basic as a link. You probably don't need me to spell it out for you at all. And besides, if everybody used the codes I was offering instead of just downloading these tiny images to their own server, their websites would become really slow to load and I would likely end up with a huge bandwith problem. So, in the end it just made more sense to drop the whole codesystem.
I've also done some work on the Sol Castpage. It now has info on Matt and the three Pokémon that have appeared in the comic so far. The idea is that I'll add more info as the comic progresses. I hope you like the changes I made to this page. While I was making this, I already got new ideas for this page. I hope to start working on them during the summer. I'm afraid I'm just a little bit to busy with my internships at the moment to work on it now. Right now, the sprites of Quartz, Nile and Yuk are clickable so go ahead and give it a try.
And finally I've also changed a few things in two of Blue Uncia's skins: Default 3 and Blazes. I was scrolling through the website with Blazes on when I suddenly realized that the bright red background combined with the black text was quite painful to my eyes. I normally don't use this skin, so I hadn't noticed it before. When I looked through my other skins, I realized that my green Default 3 skin had the same problem. I really should have seen and solved these problems before I even put the website online and I apologize for the inconvenience. I've chosen new background colors for these skins, which hopefully are not as eyehurting as the first ones. And as a bonus I've also given Default 3 a background image with oakleaves for the menu.
And of course, there is also a new comic!

Title: All RAM-med up!
Author: Neko
Date: 14 April 2007

This week my computer got an upgrade: more RAM memory! My older brother picked it for me: Kingston 1GB DDR SDRAM PC3200 CL2.0 HyperX. Confused? Well, that makes two of us. Last time I checked the DDR was part of Germany. Or used to be anyway... And only just half of it... As you can probably tell, I don't know a thing about technical stuff like this, but my brother assures me it's just about the best RAM module for this particular pc.
Oooh-kaaay.
While it doesn't really make the pc itself any faster, it does make it less laggy and it won't freak out as often when I open large files on Photoshop. Hey, that's good enough for me! ^_^
So, on to business. I've uploaded a new SoLpage for you to read and enjoy (hopefully). I've also added a new link to yet another Pokémon webcomic to the Links page. Disfunctional Pokémon Adventure is really funny and I can't believe I didn't find this comic any earlier. And finally, I've decided to upgrade the SoL castpage. I think the work on this page will be completed somewhere this week. So if one of these days you happen to notice that this page is offline, it's because I've taken it down for maintenance and a much needed upgrade!

Title: Early Updates! C'mon, you know you love 'em!!
Author: Neko

Tomorrow is Easter. So is the day after that and that day after that. We're going to have family over, so I don't know if I'll have enough time to do a proper update this Saturday. So I'll just do it today! ^_^
The new SoL is up, and with this page chapter 1 has finally ended! I've also added a new link to another Pokémon webcomic in my Links page. This comic is called A Silver Lining and is currently being redrawn. Enjoy and happy Easter!
