Name: Charlotte Dikken
Often used aliases: Neko, Smelly Cat, Uncia, Blue Uncia
Birthday: November 5th, 1984
Nationality: Dutch
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue

Religion: Protestant (that's a non-Catholic Christian, for those of you who don't know)
Education: I hold a Bachelor's degree in Art History, as well as a Master in the same subject, and a second Master in Medieval Studies.
Current occupation: PhD Research (2009-2012)! I study the functions of medieval stained glass windows in churches in the Low Countries.
Hobbies: Reading, writing, web design (well, I'm an amateur, but still), gaming and drawing, obviously.
Things I spaz out over: CG animated movies (Pixar!), ocremix.org, good fantasy books, dark chocolate, tuna, Stargate SG-1, ancient art, (medieval) history, mangas, Pokémon, Legend of Zelda, cats of all shapes and sizes, nature in general, and fan art. I love fan art!

After I graduated from high school, I had no idea what I wanted to study in college. One possible option was to go to an art school and get an education as an artist. But after some consideration, I chickened out of going to art school, thinking it would be impossible to get a decent job as an artist. Let's face it, most artists don't get wealthy until after they die. I didn't really want to become rich, but I did want to be able to make a living.
So I decided to study art history instead, because everybody knows you can never have too many art historians! We're in serious demand, people!

Brilliant career choice aside, I am having a lot of fun doing what I do. That's what's really important, right? When I'm not studying, working on some research project, or managing scholarly newsletters, I'm drawing. And that's what this website is for.
