Well, the cookie goes to my cousin, Coen! He guessed what was going to happen next: Darmani is using the move Rollout. After Defense Curl, the power of Rollout is doubled so it's bad news for poor Nile.

I hate Rollout. Seriously. I don't like drawing it, because it takes over five layers in Photoshop to get the effect right. I DO like how it looks when I'm done though...
But what I hate even more is being on the receiving end of Rollout. I remember the first time I got hit by that move. I was playing Pokémon Silver and I was in the normal-type gym in what's-that-place-called-again. I was up against the gymleader, what's-her-name. She was annoying so I was having a good time stomping her Clefairy, but then she called out her Miltank. I had no idea what it was at the time so I was a bit cautious. I decided to use my most powerful Pokémon, Quilava. Miltank turned out to be faster than my Quilava, but she used Defense Curl instead of an attack. It seemed like a bit of a wasted move to me at the time. Quilava's Flamewheel took out a nice portion of her HP, but then Miltank came at me with Rollout.
Now normally Rollout isn't exactly all THAT strong, but she had boosted the move AND she had a type-advantage over my Quilava. Rollout is a rock-type move and fire-types like Quilava don't really like that. So when Rollout took my Quilava down with one super effective hit, I was quite shocked. I had no idea what Rollout's type was at the time, so all I could think of was to use my second most powerful Pokémon: Noctowl. Well, flying-types don't really like rock-type attacks either, so my poor bird got flattened in no time at all. I then called out my pride and joy: the Scyther I had caught in de Bugcatching-contest. Only I hadn't had enough time to properly train her yet and she had a DOUBLE type-disadvantage against Rollout. It was all rather dramatic and I think I even got a little emotional at that point. I had no idea that Rollout becomes more powerful when it's being used often, so by now the attackpower was devastating. I was in trouble. What's-her-name had one, slightly damaged but pumped up Miltank on her side and I had... an Abra, a Gastly and a Magikarp...
Yup... I was in trouble...
So I used Abra and Magikarp as canon fodder, while wishing I had done a better job of training them, instead of just rushing into the gym like an idiot with only two properly trained pokes. And then a miracle happened: Rollout stopped! After five turns Rollout ends and the user has to start over. I didn't know that at first, but I sure was happy! Miltank was hurt by both Quilava and my fast Scyther and Gastly actually knew some decent attacks! 'And', I told myself, 'Miltank can't hurt my Gastly because he's a Ghost-type! WOOHOO!! I can STILL win!!'
Turns out that Gastly couldn't hurt Miltank either because in Silver one of the changes to the battle system was that normal-types became immune to ghosts.
'Aaawwww... Nuts...' I still had one move that was not a Ghost-type and that sounded rather cool. It was called Curse. I had never used it before so I had no idea what it was or what it would do, but if there was ever a time for a new move to save me it was definitely now! What's-her-name and her Miltank were just using normal-type attacks because back then AI wasn't exactly what it is today, so I decided to give this new move a try. To my great horror, Gastly immediately lost half of his HP and nothing seemed to happen to Miltank. I only noticed the effect on Miltank during the next turn, when Curse started to peck Miltank's HP away just like the move Toxic does. Only by then Miltank started using Rollout again. I had some potions to help keep Gastly alive (as far as you can call a ghost-type 'alive' anyway) a little longer, but in the end Miltank managed to beat Gastly with only a fraction of her own HP left. It was really, really, REALLY annoying.
I hate losing to a NPC so I reset the game, trained my Pokémon and came back with Quilava, Noctowl, Scyther, Gyarados, Gengar and Alakazam... Beating her now was... surprisingly easy... And as a bonus, the gymleader even cried.

Normally I'm not a cruel person, but that just seemed exactly right! So yeah, I really hate the move Rollout. At least now I know how to nip it in the bud.
